Owen Critchley

MyxerTags have been great for my website. First off, they look
professional. So just speaking aesthetically, they earn their place
on your website that you have worked so hard on.  (Not like some old
plain link that is destined to just sit there un-clicked.)

Second, it’s a great extra source of potential sales. Especially for
the younger cell phone crazed folks.

Third, it’s kind of cutting edge which keeps any band looking current
and up to the minute in what they offer. Offering a ringtone is
something that can generate “impulse” purchases. They still have a
newness to them which generates curiosity and therefore desire to own.

Fourth, there’s nothing like making fans feel like they are a part of
what you are doing, and when your song plays as their phone rings and
someone says, “Cool ringtone! Where’d you get that? Who is that?”,
well then, that fan feels “connected” to you and part of your career/
life. That is a powerful thing.

Fifth, have fun with it. When you’ve got the crowd enjoying
themselves at your gig, and you’re chatting between songs, get the
drummer to dial your phone number so your cell phone rings on
stage…with your band’s ringtone on it. Then hold it up and
introduce it to the crowd. “Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Smack-
Daddy Prophets’ brand new ringtone.”  And then give everyone your
custom MyxerCode.
