Death Row Records comes to Myxer… expect big things in the coming weeks!

Hey everyone, we’re excited to announce we’ve reached a distribution deal for the seminal Death Row Records catalog. We’re including tracks from the prime of gangsta rap- classic cuts from The Chronic by Dr. Dre, Snoop’s DoggyStyle, and other classic Death Row tracks. Check them out in the premium hip hop section.

Of course, we’re also working hard to continue to add and improve new features for Myxer artists- stay tuned for big news from our team in the coming weeks, including new products, services, and partnerships that we promise will change the way you use mobile to promote and distribute your music forever…

How to use The Myxer Storefront

So you are looking to get your newly added ringtones, wallpapers, and mobile videos to your fans… well Myxer has you covered. Just grab a storefront widget and place it on your website, MySpace profile, or even Facebook page. From this widget your fans will be able to preview the ringtone, wallpaper, or mobile video then easily send it to their phone. Nothing like hitting up your fans where they connect with you the most, your own sites and social networking pages!

Confused on how to get this up and running?, check out the instructions below or email us at artist@myxer.com.

First sign into your account at www.myxer.com.

Now click on the “Share” tab at the top right of the page.

Look towards the middle right of the page under “Artist Resources” and then click on the “Storefront Widget” link.

Click on the “Help” tab for a quick overview about the Storefront widget.

Next click on the “Content” tab to select what items you’d like to have display in your Storefront widget.

Now click on the “Appearance” tab to choose what type of widget you’d like, you can also customize the skin, and you can edit the text color as well.

The “Normal” Storefront option displays all of your content at the same time in one big widget with a scroll bar.

The “Compact” Storefront option displays all of your content individually but you’ll be able browse through it all using the browsing arrows at the bottom of the widget.

After you’ve customized your Storefront widget, highlight the correct embed code at the bottom of the page (Reg. Embed, MySpace Embed, or Facebook Embed).

Now all you have to do is copy & paste it into your website, MySpace page, and/or Facebook page and you’re all set.

Myxer Storefront Widgets

Our New Myxer Storefront Widgets allow you to offer all of your mobile content in one easy to embed widget. This widget allows you to choose which pieces of content you wish to feature within the widget, so you do not have to offer your whole catalog but you can if you would like. The Storefront widget can also be customized to match your website and social network pages just like the MyxerTags. We decided to offer three different variations so that there is a Storefront widget to fit in any area on your web and social network pages. This has been a life saver for my MySpace page because it cleans up my page so that it no longer has eight MyxerTags lined up one after another.

You can find them under your “Artist Resources” box within your “Share” page. Just look for the “Storefront Widget” link!
